The story behind LockLove
A quiet app for couples, built in Barcelona by one person who wanted a better way to stay close.
My mission
I believe small gestures can transform a relationship. In a world of endless notifications and digital noise, I wanted to create a quiet, intimate space just for two. My goal with LockLove is to help couples stay connected through meaningful moments — not more messages, better ones.
The story
LockLove was born in Barcelona in 2026. I'm Randy Esperben, designer and engineer, founder of Fabrica Studio, and I noticed something watching couples around me: long-distance partners, busy parents, people with impossible schedules — they all shared the same problem: staying emotionally connected despite physical distance or time. I asked myself: what if the first thing you see when you pick up your phone could be a surprise from your partner? No notification to dismiss. No app to open. Just there, waiting for you.
What I believe
Your space, just yours
What you send is private. No public feed, no likes, no algorithm deciding what the world sees. LockLove is a space designed for two people — that's it.
One thing, done well
No endless notifications. No features you don't need. LockLove does one thing — bring your presence to their lock screen — and it does it with care. Everything that isn't essential is out.
Built by one person
I'm not a startup with fifty engineers. I'm one person in Barcelona building what I wish existed. If you find a bug, you're writing to me. If you have an idea, I'm the one reading it.
